Nikolas Giannoulakis, the owner and founder of Chania Diving Center, has had a deep connection with the sea from a very young age. Born in 1982 in Athens, Nikolas has roots in Chania, Crete. In 2005, he returned to Chania permanently and began his career as an open water instructor. With a fervent passion for diving education, Nikolas has continuously evolved, both as a student and an instructor, pursuing and imparting knowledge across all levels of recreational and technical diving. His relentless pursuit of excellence led to the establishment of Chania Diving Center in 2012. The center aims to be a premier dive facility, leveraging the latest in dive technology and training systems. Fun and quality service are always at the forefront of our mission.
Nikolas’ expertise extends beyond instruction. He has participated in the annual archaeological research and excavation at the famous Antikythera wreck site eight times. In 2017, he was involved in the excavation of the Thullsameriaca B24 American bomber in Croatia. Additionally, Nikolas is an active researcher, continuously exploring new wrecks, caves, and contributing to marine information collection programs.
